If by conventional lights Bowie is a lad insane, then as an Aladdin, a conjurer of supernatural forces, he is quite sane. The titles may change from album to album—from the superman, the homo superior, Ziggy, to Aladdin—but the vision, and Bowie's rightful place in it, remain constant.

Aladdin Sane is, in Bowie's words, 'Ziggy goes to America'. It's a dirtier, more rock 'n' roll, more blues, less space age Ziggy Stardust, inspired by rough American cities as Bowie experienced them on his first American tour, the novels of Evelyn Waugh (brutal cynicism like nothing else), and The Rolling nozzmindsickplagbobelcattsutavixisvo.coinfo Ziggy Stardust, it's set in an undefined post-apocalyptic future.

Let's Spend the Night Together Lyrics: Well, don't you worry 'bout what's been on my mind / I'm in no hurry, I can take my time / I'm going red and my tongue's getting tired / Out of my head and.

Described by Bowie as "Ziggy goes to America," Aladdin Sane saw him create a rockier, more frenetic album than its predecessor, with the Rolling Stones a possible influence on album opener "Watch That Man" and a transgressive cover of their song, "Let's Spend the Night Together.".

Of those 3 albums, "Hunky Dory", Aladdin Sane" and the actual Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from Mars album, I think this is the most musically consistent and the re-mastering is a revelation to me of how much I was missing on the original vinyl (which I still have) A very worthwhile re-master and a must for any Bowie /5().

reissue on g vinyl - Ziggy Stardust wrote the blueprint for David Bowie's hard-rocking glam, and Aladdin Sane essentially follows the pattern, for both better and worse. A lighter affair than Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane is actually a stranger album than its predecessor, buoyed by bizarre lounge-jazz flourishes from pianist Mick Garson.
